Established over 50 years ago, Old Hickory Tannery remains a family-owned and operated business based in Hickory, North Carolina. While its name reflects its origins in fine leather upholstery, the company has gained equal acclaim for its fabric-covered seating. Its diverse range of styles includes everything from dramatic Duncan-Phyfe-inspired sofas to elegant Queen Anne armchairs, claw-footed tub chairs, delicate full-skirted settees, and modern slipper chairs. With decades of expertise, some craftsmen have been honing their skills for nearly 50 years. Every piece is crafted with meticulous attention to detail: upholstery is cut and sewn by hand, frames are made from solid hardwood, nailhead trim is individually hand-hammered, and springs are tied by hand at eight points for enduring comfort and durability.
