Very nice form and proportions … Read more Exceptionally nice and clean original set of eight mid 19th century Mahogany Chippendale dining chairs. Very nice form and proportions on this very heavy, tight and solid set of chairs. All chairs retain their original surface with an outstanding patina and a superb mellow golden color to the aged Mahogany. Marlboro front legs, original drop in seat frames that have been recently upholstered, original rounded corner glue blocks ( commonly found In Philadelphia chairs) on all chairs, dovetailed cross stretchers and very nicely formed arms on the arm chairs. No repairs or replacements. Minor surface imperfections and color differences throughout as expected. By far the nicest cleanest set of eight period chairs we have had. See less
