This semi-precious stone box is just superb with its variety of colors and designs from the Natural Onyx itself. The brass banding has beautiful beading detailing and the legs are a brass animal hooves. Vintage Italian craftsmanship at its best! Usually these Italian mid-century hand carved boxes are small but this box is relatively large and also heavy...so please see dimensions and weight below.

This box can easily remain open with out tilt if chosen to leave open for display....very sturdy.

EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE ONYX HAS NO CHIPS OR CRACKS...JUST PERFECT!
NOTE: One of the back legs is slightly bent as seen in the photos but the box sits very sturdy The red interior shows some minor signs of aging.
