Elegant hand crafted elongated bronze scalloped chain. 17 .5” overall, pendant 3 x 2 x .5”, carnelian gem 1 x .25”.

József Péri ( 1933-2002), Mihály Munkácsy prize-winning Hungarian goldsmith. Member of the Hungarian Academy of Arts (1999–until his death). He was the husband of ceramic artist Ilona Benkő .

He worked as a jeweller, inspired by old, forgotten techniques such as wax casting , niello and various enamel techniques. Exhibiting artist since 1954 . His works have been featured in many famous domestic and international exhibitions. One of the founding members of the Prizma 13 group founded in 1968 , he participated in all of the group's exhibitions. In 1989, at the request of the Crown Commission, he studied the Holy Crown together with László Papp , and József Péri became the goldsmith expert of the Holy Crown Commission. less
