This piece is from China and was created in ceramic with blue paint. It is white, with a painted scenic design on the top, and a geometric and floral pattern around the body. The lid is oval and fits nicely onto the box. It has a painted scene of mountains and small bungalows in blue on a white background. The body of the dish has a blue geometric diamond pattern with a floral design at the center of each diamond. The bottom is marked with "MADE IN CHINA" in both English and Chinese. This would be a great piece to decorate a coffee table, or for holding jewelry on a dressing table or nightstand.
