The three plank moulded edge top is over a grooved top rail, with a three panelled front, carved with faces and a coat of arms motifs, surrounded by a carved design, flanked by grooved sides and stiles.
Animal head carvings drawer to the base, with attractive and ornate brass drop handles.The top opens to reveal a paper lined inside with a stay to hold the heavy lid open,In excellent antique condition. with expected general signs of age and use.The drawer and the base of the chest are in strong, solid and sturdy condition, the drawer opens smoothly and easily.Having developed a wonderful rich colour and glowing patina.
