this secessionist flower column is a product of the thonet brothers (brand stamp present). The simple and strict design language is reminiscent of the art furniture that prof. Josef hoffmann designed/used for the cabaret fledermaus in 1907. The connecting elements in the shape of the ball are an indication of hoffmann's spring swing. Since the object has not yet been found in any of thonet's company catalogs, we assume that it was a commissioned work or a design that did not make it into series production. this piece has an attribution mark,
