This antique Eastlake chair will make a meaningful connection with the past and add an historical point of view to any room. A civil war era arm chair used by a campaign manager or director whose role is to coordinate a political campaign’s spending, broad tactics and hiring. In all original condition with horsehair, red velvet upholstery. Made of solid walnut. It adjusts to dual angle positions, upright and slightly reclined. Has 2 turned stretchers. In excellent condition for a 170 year old chair. Very sturdy. Has scuff marks and is missing two ball finials where the back meets the seat. The fabric is still strong and usable. Overall has period wear and patina, consistent with age and use but no serious damage or repairs.
