As a prototype, it is much more free, less afraid to fail. Apart from its importance as a piece with specific development, it was never made in larger quantities. An item which is alluring for collectors and connoisseurs. It is a historic piece, which has an impact on the value, where it acts as a collector’s item too. This is the first chair that was designed for the chandigarh project. Sculptural qualities define it. A vivid dynamic between the different volumes and surfaces, showing different qualities from different angles. Its expressive form offers a complex geometry shaped by light and shadows. The item is made of local materials. Its frame consists of several intersecting bamboo poles which shape a base of its seat and backrest. Wide cotton threads are wrapped around the poles while crossing each other. The backrest is made out of jute ropes. The approach was experimental at the time. As a chair with a specific expression and history, it becomes a collector’s addition to each space. P! galerie’s selection is mainly focused on rare french mid-century modern design artefacts by pierre jeanneret, jean prouvé, le corbusier, and charlotte perriand. Orders where Free Local Pickup or Seller Managed Local Delivery were selected:
- Upon inspection, If you decide not to move forward with the purchase, you or your agent must refuse the item at the time of pickup/delivery from the seller
- Once you have taken possession of the item, all sales are final
- International, cross-border returns may require different processes depending on the countries between which the item is shipping to/from, and the buyer is responsible and duties (if applicable, on cross-border orders).

Cancellations
