Fun & funky industrial cast iron salvage piece that can easily be repurposed for an one-of-a-kind table (interior or exterior) or a garden decorative element such as a bird bath, plant stand, or gazing ball holder.. Newly repainted in a soft, dove gray hue.
What we love about this piece is the great attention to aesthetic detail --take a close look at the the rope-form column, the decorative accents bridging the juncture of the column and curvaceous frame, and the beautiful flourishes incorporated into the six-sided base. The rim will accommodate a 20.5"Dia. glass or stone top inset within the edge or a larger top can be supported by this edge.
Our research suggests that this item dates from the beginning of the 20th C. and was originally used to held a boiler tank. No manufacturer's marks, only a part no. "20".
