Classic pair of Mid-century Modern Marcel Breuer by Stendig chrome and caned-back and -seat " Cesca" chairs. Finely made Italian examples likely from the C, 1970s - 60's
Stendig of New York was the first furniture dealer to introduce America to Marcel Breuer’s archetypical Modern chair. These chairs named after the designer’s daughter, Francesca, have come to define an era. As such iconic symbols of Mid Century Modern innovation, they have been added to the Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection.
