It has a lovely shape and a beautiful honey color. These large examples were used in multi-family or small scale commercial baking as well as for washing clothes or even bathing the baby and were frequently used mounted on oak stands. This trog sits very nicely in its oak arts and crafts style stand. The stand has three trestle-type stiles mortised into a horseshoe cradle at the top and sled feet at the floor.
