This vase … more Japanese Kutani porcelain came to the attention of the west with the advent of the Meiji era (1868-1912). This vase or censer is Meiji era Kutani. It features a pigeon on a branch hanging over a stream. The tubular vessel to the right of the bird can be used as either a vase or to hold a stick of incense.

This decorative piece is in very good condition with wear consistent with age and use.
