Description: An exceptional flat backed Swedish cabinet with an outstanding painted surface in wonderful colors, most notably the vibrant folky turquoise … more An exceptional flat backed Swedish cabinet with an outstanding painted surface in wonderful colors, most notably the vibrant folky turquoise faux marble panels. Nicely proportioned, it was made as a slim armoire, and is still fitted on the inside with its original carved wooden clothes hooks as well as recent pine shelves, now making it ideal for a kitchen pantry cupboard or for storage in any room. Upper hinges are hefty original decorative scroll forms. The key is also original with working lock. The lower drawer has a later but very attractive pull. Well formed bun feet support the case. Late 18th/ early 19th century.
