This white porcelain and gilt French teapot … more Samson porcelain was well-known for making excellent copies of other famous porcelain companies. This white porcelain and gilt French teapot on a stand was made in the 19th century to look like Sevres porcelain. The mark on the bottom of the teapot (and faded mark in the bottom of the stand is recognized as being Samson imitating Sevres. The central monogram is that of Louis Philippe. A small porcelain cup nestles within the stand. less
