Each one is made of two rosewood pieces that were hand carved to fit onto the center brass/ bronze section and secured with a double tang closure on each side. The set is twelve gorgeous soup spoons- in excellent vintage condition. The glossy golden brass is easily cared for by occasional polishing with a one-part vinegar, two parts water with a soft cloth. I favor my norwex cloth- while microfiber is preferred, I hate the feel. less
