Vintage French Provincial Louis XVI Style Bench With Caned Seat

This French caned bench was probably used as a vanity bench when 1st created, maybe in the 1940’s.
Still so … more This French caned bench was probably used as a vanity bench when 1st created, maybe in the 1940’s.
Still so perfect for seating, we also love it as a petite coffee table.
The walnut(?) frame sports a Louis XVI style with its turned and reeded legs. The entire piece is also decorated with carved wood appliqués.
Underneath, there are stamped numbers which are most probably an item number not the year of production. There is also a signature and date for the replacement of the cane. The cane has been replaced again since then.
