Her work often found inspiration in urban landscapes and from her travels, making this work a classic reflection of what came to be known as her signature style. Framed this piece measures: 43.75" wide x 39" tall.

Coen was a student and teacher at the Art Institute of Chicago and was married to artist Max Kahn. Her work appears in numerous collections and museums including the Smithsonian Institution. She won numerous prizes including the American Color Print Society in 1953, Philadelphia Print Club in 1952 and the Chicago show. Eleanor Coen was also called the best painter in Chicago of the 1940s & 1950s era. less
