There are also brass handles to … more Vintage: English Chippendale style, 4-drawer chest, with secretary pull-out, with brass knob and handles/hardware. There are also brass handles to offsetting sides, whereupon to adjust the pieces, not to be moved by this, as the chest itself has good weight, i.e. girth, a solid piece at that. There is lovely detailing to the top of this chest, with a black ebony pencil trim surround, buttressing on the inner portion, of the top detail, whereupon the gorgeous wood grained top is adjacent to, also the outer edged, honey or chestnut colored finish of crafted marquetry edged mitered details, abound. Along with that there are scalloped front details to base apron front and sides surround, with feet, as the entire body seems to be recessed within and offset this base surround, giving it depth. It looks to be ash or oak, based on the wood grain evident. Included details, dovetail drawers as such.

This item has been lovingly cared for, and has traveled back and forth from New York City and South Florida from multiple residences.
