The … more Offered is a vintage Windsor bench made by the company of Frederick Duckloe & Brothers out of Portland Pennsylvania. The company produced quality Windsor chairs and occasional furniture from 1859 to its closing in October of 2021 due to Covid. It is constructed of solid cherry and oak. Duckloe chairs have always been highly sought after for their style and quality construction. There are no screws or mechanical fasteners used in their construction. They are assembled using only glue and split spindles and wedges as were used over 150 years ago. The seats are carved out to be ergonomically comfortable to sit in without the use of cushions. Since they are no longer in production the only place to find them today is on the secondary market. This bench is from an estate in Allentown Pennsylvania. It was well taken care of and is in beautiful condition. As with most preowned furniture the seat does show some light distress due to use and age. The bench is tight and sturdy and with care should provide generations of use for your home and family. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description.
