Scumbled which is defined as; “applying a painted pattern to the finish of a piece of furniture, which is commonly pine to simulate the woodgrain of another timber.” This Irish Pine Bench we believe dates from the late 1800’s and is in an old Scumbled Pine finish. Personally, we love the butterscotch color and can imagine this Antique Irish Pine Bench being in a front or rear entry to your home. The Irish Pine Bench arrived in very nice original condition and did not require restoration, other than a small amount of touch up. See less
