Bed was made end of 19th -early 20th century. Its is a total of 4 pieces that can be flat packed. Assembly screws included. Additional custom made box for mattress to lay on provides 4 drawers - 2 on either side on the bottom half of the bed and a secret large storage hutch under the top half of the bed. Box functions well but has some flaws. Excellent for a small space living when extra storage is needed. Sleeps like a platform bed. May be sent with or without the box all for the same price. less
