The chairs are traditional in style and look well in either formal or informal settings. These chairs have a tight seat and high, rolled back. The chairs feature traditional English rolled arms and hardwood legs with turned detailing and quality brass casters. The interior seat dimensions are very generous, with the seat width of 23” at the front tapering to 19” in the back. The backs of the chairs have a backward pitch as seen in the photos, which allows for a relaxed sitting posture.. These chairs make for a very comfortable experience, appropriate for conversation or reading.. The chairs are traditional in style and look well in either formal or informal settings. One photo shows what appears to be a stain in the fabric. It's not known whether the chairs were recovered at some point, and they both have the usual conditions associated with use, such as nicks to the chair legs. less
