A studio pottery vase by the American artist Abraham Cohn (born 1925). The large earthenware vase is glazed with green and brown. The piece is signed to the underside.
Abraham Cohn attended the University of Wisconsin for painting. After taking a singular pottery class, Cohn left the college to enroll at Kentfield Junior College and switched majors to ceramics. The second college had open studio hours, with Cohn reportedly working sixty hours a week on his pottery, before moving back to Wisconsin and opening his own pottery studio.
