A rare Art Deco box probably made in Europe but we do not know the name of the company or … Read more A rare Art Deco box probably made in Europe but we do not know the name of the company or the craftsman who produced it. Made of beech wood, this vintage box has a typically Art Deco style with the addition of two semi-circular sections to the central rectangular and squared core. The rounded parts of the box are distinguished from the central one not only by the variation of the lines from straight to curved but also by a splendid chromatic contrast given by the color of the wood, black for the lateral ones, cherry for the central one. The real peculiarity of this box, however, is in the handle, a sculpted handle in the shape of a lizard made in silver tone metal. The box has been restored by a professional and shows minimal signs of aging. Reach out for any additional questions. See less
