created on november 22, 1928, this cup takes its name from the town of mont-dore, france, which was famous for its thermal springs and natural beauty, perhaps a source of inspiration for lalique.

rené lalique (1860-1945), famous glass artist and master of pressed molded glass, was known for his innovative use of glass in the creation of pieces of great finesse and incomparable beauty. The “mont doré” cup perfectly illustrates his creative genius and technical know-how.
