The commode features three inset drawers with beautiful hand-made dovetail joints, and each drawer front is decorated with multiple layers of crossbanding with bisecting ebonised inlay. The escutcheons are also framed by an inlaid crossbanded rhombus. The same pattern of inlay present on the drawer fronts is also repeated on the flat paneled sides as well as well as the flat-edged top.
