Signed lower right, 'Jablonsky' for Carol Jablonsky (American, 1939-1992) and created circa 1970. This listed woman artist studied at the New York's Art Students League and exhibited widely and with success including at the El Paso Museum of Art, the San Francisco Palace of the Legion of Honor and the National Society of Painters in New York.
Carol Jablonsky’s lithographs, etchings, and sculptures are exhibited and collected throughout the United States, Mexico, and beyond. Her whimsical works demonstrate the skills she acquired during her decades of technical art education.
Born in 1939 in Port Washington, New York, Carol Jablonsky first studied at Boston University in Massachusetts and, subsequently, at the Arts Students League in New York, and the Institute Allende in Mexico. Jablonsky created works in a variety of media, including watercolors, tempera painting, etchings, drypoints, and lithographs. Her technical artistry and unique style gained made the artist celebrated among public and private art collectors.
The winner of numerous prizes, medals and juried awards, Jablonsky’ exhibited widely and with success including at:
• The El Paso Museum of Art in Texas
• The National Society of Painters, New York
• The Palace of the Legion of Honor, San Francisco, California
• Pennsylvania State University, University Park, Pennsylvania
• The Society of the Four Arts, Palm Beach, Florida
Her one-person exhibitions were held at Circle Galleries and Collectors Circle Galleries throughout the United States. Circle Fine Arts published Jablonsky’s original graphic works beginning in 1972. less
