This is one of the Yantras produced and sold in a very limited series for the exhibition Tantra Yoga Raga organized by Fabio Sargentini's historic L'attico Gallery in 1973 (May 8-June 8)

These pure silk yantras had been made as faithful reproductions of ancient tantric yantras of 17th and 18th century India, in a limited series of 120.
Weaving and printing had been done by Seterie Mosconi of Como, a historic silk city where many of the products of the world's most famous fashion houses are commissioned.

Yantras in the Hindu and Vedic traditions, are somewhat the equivalents of Buddhist mandalas and are considered powerful tools for connecting with the deities, (Shiva in particular in the Tantric tradition), which help to attract positive energies useful for one's personal fulfillment, empowering one's will and aligning one's desires with cosmic energies for the achievement of one's goals.
Yantra meditation opens a connection with higher consciousness that helps one understand one's purpose in life and thus one's place in harmony with the Universe.
