The table top is finely hand-painted to the top with a gilded landscape scene, depicting a river with boats and various pagoda buildings, set below a mountainous landscape. The table is decorated on all sides, with three drawers to the front with corresponding landscape scenes, the back of the desk having three panels decorated with similar hand-painted gilt designs, the table sides are also decorated with such panels.
The table is raised on legs that are joined by an elaborate stretcher on each side, the legs and stretchers are elaborately hand painted with gilded floral decoration. Condition is very good, some slight rubbing to the gilding, this very elegant antique table is ready to grace your home.
