An extremely rare and unusual pair of space age vintage pod chairs. They were made in England, they date from … more An extremely rare and unusual pair of space age vintage pod chairs. They were made in England, they date from the 1960’s.

The design is so stylish and they are extremely well made. Each chair has a fibreglass shell, one is black and one is white. They sit loosely on circular wooden bases. The angle of seating can be adjusted and they can rotate on the bases.

The condition is excellent for their age, we have had them fully re-upholstered in a beautifully soft faux fur fabric, one in black and one in white to contrast with the shells. The wooden bases have been stripped and re-polished, there is just some extremely minor surface wear to the fibreglass shells here and there.
