A smart and very well made antique Victorian leather top writing desk. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1860-1880 period.
The quality is superb, this is a lovely size and is finished on the back, so can be used as a free standing item. It stands on beautifully turned legs terminating in porcelain casters. The drawers have lovely turned handles and fine, hand cut dovetailed joints. This has a beautiful inset green leather writing surface with tooled edges.
We have had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age. There is just some historical wear and patina remaining beneath the polish here and there.
