The table features include self leveling feet on angled hairpin legs crafted from solid 16 gauge copper tubing with gold … more The table features include self leveling feet on angled hairpin legs crafted from solid 16 gauge copper tubing with gold accents. The stain and burn resistant tabletop and self-edge border comes in the patented “” woodgrain all on a “” frame that resists rust and chipping.

The table top opens up smoothly on ball-bearing slides to allow for the 8” leaf to be dropped into place and secured with 8 precision set pins. The table top is immaculate, save one chipped edge that can easily be bonded and patched.

The chairs are also constructed out of the solid 16 gauge copper tubing as the table legs, and are still very comfortable, constructed out of a thick layer of rubberized foam and upholstered with brand plastic upholstery fabric in charming earth toned stripes.

Each chair is structurally very sound, and the upholstery on each is overall in good condition for its age and consistent wear. One chair has a large section of upholstery missing on the seat, and two others feature minor punctures (all documented in the pictures & video).

Since 1989 the dinette set has been kept in the gameroom of a dry finished basement, which has contributed to the overall great condition. Each chair was inspected and the upholstery triple cleaned, first with a degreaser and plastic brush, followed by Bronner’s Suds-n-Stuff all natural cleaner, and a final wipe with a magic eraser. Aside from the few cosmetic imperfections the whole set is a mid century modern dream!

I would actually recommend “patching” or covering up the upholstery with fun strips of the vinyl over replacing completely, because outside of what I mentioned already, the upholstery has held up beautifully, and has none of the typical dry/cracking that you can see in vinyl this age. I’m truly obsessed with the neutral striped pattern, and think it is timeless! less
