Large hand blown Marbro lamp with root beer colored blown glass body mounted silver giltwood base. Has double cluster Vintaged chrome fittings and carved silver giltwood finial. Depending on light source glass color ranges from shades of amber to darker brown. Labeled "Hand Blown Swedish Glass Marbro".
Size to top of glass portion is 21" high X 8" diameter. 40" overall height to top of fittings shown.
Marbro Lamps, located in Los Angeles, was opened by the Markoff brothers shortly after World War II and specialized in custom lamps which were only sold through Interior Designers. Marbro was known for importing only the finest from around the world and assembled the lamp bodies with custom fittings created and finished in house by a team of artisans. less
