The rug displays a lovely beige background, with some darker shades of beige/brown atop. It has a geometric and floral design, with medallions that are less busy than the surrounding areas; creating a beautiful contrast between the medallions and background that allow the medallions to pop out at you. Additionally the rug was made with certain areas being colored more deeply than others. This not only proves the authenticity of this Vintage piece but it additionally adds a certain rustic look to the rug; a look that is not found among machine made/newer pieces.
