Clock sold by Harpswell House of Topsham, Maine, USA that is made from an estimated 300,000,000 +/- a year or two piece of grey slate. The hour markings are reverse etched so the numbers stand proud. The clock works are much newer at approximately 25 years old. The clockworks were made in Japan and are a quartz movement that runs on a C cell battery. The clock ran for a two week test on a wall. We are not guaranteeing the clock works however.
The body measures 8.5" square and stands 1.25" from the wall. The 3 hands show a little rust on the edges.
Nice rustic addition for the MAN CAVE. Think Fred Flintstone.
We have three other slate and walnut listings of trivets and bookends from HARPSWELL HOUSE that are often attributed to a Paul Evans and Phillip Lloyd Powell collaboration.
Shipping in the USA via USPS Priority mail.
