This antique 5x7 Chinese Art Deco rug is a rare addition to Rug & Kilim’s classic curations. Hand-knotted in wool, it originates circa 1920-1930.
On the Design:
Connoisseurs will admire what an unusual design this piece enjoys—particularly in its play of pattern and color. Its pictorial design with jars and flowers is much like those in Khotan Samarkand rugs, while its navy blues and ivory whites explore a Peking sensibility.
