Base has scattered areas of discoloration. The top half of the pole appears to be a shade brighter than the bottom half, hard to notice. There is scattered possible rust showing on the pole, which I believe to be lacquered to I did not try to polish.

Beautiful lamp base from mid century with art nouveau inspired spiral leaf-like base. There are chrome rings spaced out on the pole as well as a 2 inch chrome collar near the socket. The capiz shell shade is likely a later addition. The photo with the top "hat" of the shade is accurate. The finial and harp are original.
