IT IS ALMOST IF THE SET WAS STORED IN A TIME CAPSULE. THIS SET IS RARE, EXTREMELY UNIQUE AND ABSOLUTELY STUNNING! SET CONSISTS OF A DINING TABLE WITH ATOMIC MOLECULAR BASE ( detachable) EQUIPPED WITH 2-12 INCH EXPANSION LEAVES.( Jefferson table slide works extremely smooth) , 6 MATCHING CHAIRS CONSISTING OF 2 CAPTAINS CHAIRS WITH ATOMIC ARMS AND 4 SIDE CHAIRS. UPHOLSTERED IN EXQUISITE BROCADE light green and off white striped ( silk like). CHAIR UPHOLSTERY IS IN GREAT CONDITION WITH NO TEARS, HOLES OR STAINS. UPHOLSTERY HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED AS WELL. MAKERS MARK PHOTO IS FROM THE MATCHING CREDENZA. I WILL HAVE THE MATCHING CREDENZA FROM THIS SET IN A SEPARATE LISTING IN CASE YOUR INTERESTED. .YOU THIS IS DEFINITELY A COLLECTOR OR ANY MCM ENTHUSIASTS DREAM SET. ITS TRUELY A WORK OF ART!. ALL COMPONENTS ARE EXTREMELY WELL MADE AND SUPERBLY CRAFTED USING THE FINEST RICHLY GRAINED SOLID WALNUT AND PECAN. THE TABLE TOP AND CREDENZA TOP HAVE ROUNDED ENDS AND SLIGHTLY ROUNDED SIDES TO GIVE A BIT OF A SURFBOARD VIBE, CONTRASTING WOOD BORDER ON ENDS OF TABLE (see photos). TABLE HAS AN EXQUISITE TETRAHEDRAL ( more like an H2O molecule) ATOMIC BASE with brass accents. ALL ITEMS ARE IS IN EXCELLENT ORIGINAL CONDITION, ( leaves on table are darker from being stored for the majority of the past 60-70 years . COLOR TONE on set has lightened over the years but FINISH IN GENERAL is still in great shape and ready to use. . There are a few nicks in veneer on edge of expansion leaves and one tiny nick in veneer on edge of table. All items are structurally sound. THIS SET WAS PRODUCED IN HIGH POINT, NC by the TOMLINSON/. DIRECTIONAL I BELIEVE THIS SET WAS DESIGNED BY John Lubberts and Lambert Mulder, but not 100% sure. about the designers. Wear commensurate with age. But about as good as it gets for being 60-70 years old. I try to take good photos to REFLECT ITEMS TRUE STATE AND condition. I rate this set an 8.5 to 9 on a 1-10 scale. Where a 10 is totally restored perfect or new.
I SINCERELY WOULD KEEP THIS SET IF I HAD THE SPACE. I HAVE COLLECTED MCM FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND THIS IS MY FAVORITE OF THE DOZENS OF DINING SETS I’VE COME ACROSS AND CERTAINLY THE BEST SET PRODUCED IN THE UNITED STATES. THANKS FOR LOOKING AND READING.

A couple small chip in veneer each leaf, not very noticeable. Finish is in good shape considering it’s all original and roughly 60 years old. Finish has some color fading ( compare with table leaves in photo) but very usable as is. Chairs are in excellent shape, wood finish has some color fading similar to table. Upholstery in great shape with very minor defects. Credenza is in excellent condition with some color fading. All pieces are structurally sound and intact. Photos exemplify condition. Blemishes commensurate with age on all pieces. less
