Pressed glass shade signed SCHNEIDER France model 1903, “libellule” because of its stylised dragonfly design in deep relief. Truly a unique work of art. The design is repeated 3 times on the surface highlighted by stings of rough edged ball shapes in tapering sizes. One ball has a fleabite that has been polished out; it’s in the pictures if you can find it: no other damage.
Superb hammered steel lamp base, which an expert indicates is in the style of Paul KISS. The quality, craftsmanship and design is certainly to his standard or that of another great “ferronnier” (metal craftsman). Solid, heavy and well balanced it provides a steady base for the lamp.

Furnished with new wiring and switch for 220v or 110v.
