ARTIST BIO:
Matthew Schaefer is a Chicago-area artist known for his abstract expressionism style work. He graduated with a degree from Silvermine College of Art in Connecticut. He will often go out and about looking for inspiration among his surroundings, sketching what he finds interesting to come back to later in his studio. Matthew's painting is defined by its immediacy, with each brushstroke influencing the last; nothing in his work is predetermined.
