Chinese Export Hardwood Table
The oblong top with a deep reeded edge on conforming square legs with a scroll and cloud-incised frieze
and ear brackets.
This is a relatively modern Chinese table loosely inspired by 18th and 19th century patterns. It has a dark
varnish which has been distressed to give the impression of age. Interestingly, the overall form fits well
into the modern design aesthetic.
