A highly decorated set of fish plates by the re known firm of Black Knight (by the Hutchenreuther Porcelain Factory). Known for their elaborate decorations and color, this set has a nice all over scalloped shape accented with a vibrant green band surrounded by a 24 karat gold acid etched border. Designed and painted by their premier artist Arno Johnssen they feature assorted fish and their own descriptions on the back of each plate. Black Knight operated in elegant storefronts on south Fifth Ave New York City near Union Square from 1925-1941.
They are all in wonderful antique condition.
