She is compelled by moments of transition, delicate yet unavoidable shifts, the multitude of parts that make up a structure and then how these can break apart and find new configurations. In Dance, a line enters the composition and then meets up with others. They become entwined and tangled until one makes its way out at the top of the picture. It is a metaphor for an individual finding their way in the world.

Alice earned her MFA from UCLA with a Painting and Drawing Concentration in 2005. She holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania in Religious Studies, Art History and Fine Arts. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally." less
