Eugène Bégarat is a French post-impressionist painter born in Nice in 1943. His artistic journey began in 1960 when he entered the École des Arts Décoratifs in Nice, laying the foundation for his future career.
Bégarat is known for his landscape paintings, which often employ the Pointillist technique. Pointillism, a style developed in the late 19th century, involves creating images using small, distinct dots of color that blend in the viewer's eye to form a cohesive picture. Bégarat's association with post-impressionism incorporates this technique in his work.
