This is an industrial Bauhaus style lamp likely from the 1950's and engineered by historic innovators, Underwriters Laboratory.
It features an adjustable gooseneck, a sturdy base, a twist ON/OFF switch, and a really cool shade. This is a solid, sturdy and formidable lamp that generates an enormous amount of light. And it was built to last.
This would make a great work lamp for an artist or designer. It would also be a terrific desk lamp for a student.
The body of lamp is in pristine vintage condition. There is one flaw inside the shade, as pictured.
It looks to have been rewired recently, though the seller has no documentation available. At test time, it works perfectly.
