Description: This rare and generous centerpiece plate, designed by Pietro Chiesa for Fontana Arte, dates back to the 1940s, crafted before … more This rare and generous centerpiece plate, designed by Pietro Chiesa for Fontana Arte, dates back to the 1940s, crafted before the factory was bombed during World War II. The signs of aging, including some scratches and tiny spots on the mirrored central circle (measuring 18 cm in diameter), add authenticity and narrate its rich history. Remarkably, there are no chips, preserving its original elegance. with an external diameter of 49 cm, this plate showcases the unmistakable color of Fontana Arte glass. At that time, Fontana Arte was the only company capable of producing glass in this distinctive hue. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
