Émile gallé's games table is an exceptionally refined work of art, perfectly illustrating the aesthetics and mastery of cabinetmaking of this famous craftsman. Designed around 1910 in the art nouveau style, this walnut and veneer marquetry table is notable for its creative use of materials and naturalistic thistle motifs. Each panel of the wallet top, which opens in a cross shape, is decorated with intricate floral inlays, using various wood species to create subtle contrast and visual depth.
