He studied at the Saint-Luc Institute in Brussels and the Academy in Anderlecht. Since 1988 Luc Dondeyne teaches painting and graphics at the Stedelijk Secundair Kunstinstituut in Ghent.

If we look closely we can see that Luc Dondeyne has over the last decades been on a dogged quest to develop the most personal pictorial style that could also be described as the most impressionist.
Dondeyne’s firm hand combined with nonchalant brush strokes applied in bright and often unusual colors.
