Featuring a vibrant blue mottled flambe glaze on ovoid shaped vases. The rim and circular bases with sterling silver mounts. Fully hallmarked with the French Minerve 1st standard mark, in use from 1838, which depicts the goddess Minerva with a number 1 beside her denoting a silver content of .950/1000 (95% silver and higher than the standard .925 for sterling silver). Maker's marks for M. Soufflot & Cie, this mark was in use circa 1914, at 24 rue Chapon, Paris. Stands 9 3/4" height x 4 1/4" wide. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use. less
